As expected, Max Payne was disappointing.  The only positive things I can say about it is that they didn’t put any religous ties in the movie and that many of the locations from the game are in the movie.  But of course Hollywood always decides that the plot and story in the game isn’t good enough to make it to the big screen.  The story was told wrong.  Max’s wife had a connection to the production of “V”, while Max is the prime suspect for the murder of Alex, that is not the reason the police are after him, there is no connection to the inner circle to get him out of prison, and Nichole does not die at the end of the film.

Also, while the bullet time effects, and the way the people flew when they got shot by the shotgun were cool, toward the end where the action sequences really flare up Max becomes this over powered gunner.  Also, apparently he is invincible too.  He gets shot a couple of times, and still is pounding through enemies.  Also, the bad guys in this movie have the WORST AIM EVER!  For anyone who hasn’t seen it, I’d say its worth a watch on DVD.  But if your not seeing it for free like it did, you might not want to waste your money.
