Ex Machina is the third and final (for now) release of the Appleseed series.  I read in many places that it is the best of the three, and now I also must say the same.  Ex Machina is a direct sequel of the 2004 release.  John Woo directed this film.  You can really tell because there are doves flying EVERYWHERE!  Thanks to John Woo the action scenes were more frequent and quite awesome I have to say.  The action was very fast paced, but organized.  He put slow motion in spots that really made them seem cool.

I thought the story was better and more clear as to what was really happening.  While the story Appleseed(2004) wasn’t complicated, there were definitely a few places that left a question mark.  No emotional breakdowns in this one either, which is a plus.  Another thing I like is that in this movie they really showed how skilled Deunan and Briareos are.  You see it from the very start of the movie where they plow through some terrorists.  Overall, I think it was a great movie.  Very entertaining.  I would recommend watching it.
