I tried…I really really tried.  I tried so hard to get into this game.  But I just couldn’t.  I wanted to give the game at least 10 hours, but I only got maybe 4.  It’s weird.  When I would play I would actually have a good time.  However, the next time I would go to play I would almost have to force myself to put the disc in.  After having the game for 2 months I finally sent it back to GameFly.  I can’t say the game was bad.  It just didn’t have enough to pull me in.

The main character was very bland.  He was always in a pissy mood for no reason.  The girl character wasn’t very interesting either.  The only character that was actually interesting was Jansen.  He is one of the funniest game characters I have seen in a long time.  To be honest, the only reason I played as long as I did is because you get him after about 2 hours of gameplay.  I was going to stop playing then, but when he started talking it made me want to see where his character was going to go.

The gameplay dynamic was good, but nothing ground breaking.  I did like the ring system to boost specific stats for different fights, the front line – back line dynamic, and the melee targeting system.  Like I said, its not a bad game, just took to long for me to get into it.  It may just be me.  Am I outgrowing RPGs?  I won’t make that determination until I play the next Final Fantasy.
