For those who may not know, Activision/Blizzard is the largest distributor of video games.  According to this article from Giz, Activision is implying that they will drop support for the Sony platforms as soon as 2010/2011.  They say that the development cost is to much as opposed to the return they get.  The 360 and Wii are better selling consoles so they are thinking about just focusing on those two.  While I do know that Sony licensing and development kits are most expensive out of all the consoles, I also thing that the PS3 is the console that is best prepared for the future.  Both 360 and PS3 are saying they have a 10 year console life, however, I believe the PS3 is the one that can actually do it without having to continuously buy upgrades and attachments for it.

Anyone who has a PS3 knows that it is a marvelous machine.  I truly do wish that the PS3 had a better game selection because I would choose to play the majority of games on a PS3 as opposed to a 360.  The system is quieter, the controller feels better (in everything except FPS).  At this time this decision would hurt Sony more, but in the future I think Activision would be missing out on all the PS3 has to offer.  Maybe thats just me though.
