This is coming a little late, but I finished GoW 2 about 2 weeks ago.  Took about 5 hours.  The game was very entertaining.  I enjoyed it all the way till the end.  Notice I didn’t say through the end because the ending sucked big time.  It felt like they just rushed through the production of the last 20 minutes of the game.

The game looks good, but still doesn’t look as good as GoW on my PC.  The sound is good.  The greatly improved the sound of the weapons.  The primary weapon for the Lucust was improved to be quite accurate.  Several new variations of the boomer were added, including one with a flame thrower.  Another new enemy is the Kantus.  The Kantus controls tickers, little exploding roaches, and can also resurrect enemies.  If there were any other new enemies besides that, I don’t remember them…

Overall, the game is pretty much the same.  New levels, a few new enemies, but the dynamic is the same.  Run to cover, kill, move up…wash, rinse, repeat.  If your looking for something new, its not really worth it.  However, if you just want a expansion of gears, it will be right up your alley.  Not worth a buy, but definitely a rental.
