So, my first thoughts of Prince of Persia were that it was entertaining, but not particularly fun. I have to withdraw that statement at this time. I’m a little over 6 hours into the game and it is very fun at this point. The fact that you really couldn’t die really offset me in the beginning because the puzzles were very easy and there were really not challenging enemies to fight. Now that I’m deeper I understand why the developers choose not to let you die. About 3 or 4 hours into the game the puzzle sequences become longer and more challenging, and having to start over from the beginning even if you get to the end of the puzzle and mess up is more than enough penalty for me.
The look of each of the fertile grounds is different, so you get a frequent change of scenery which is nice. The combat is still pretty simple. Each boss however does have specific tactics that you have to adjust your fighting too. An example is the warrior and the queen. The warrior cannot be hurt. So you have to knock him off the edge of the platform when you can. However, sometimes there is no platform and you have to improvise. The queen has mode that she can go to where the only thing you can do is use your grabbing attacks. You have to fight each boss a totally of 6 times. Once in the beginning land, once in each fertile ground (four of them), and then one final time. Its not as bad as it sounds, it kinda gives you a break from the puzzles.
I still have a ways to go, I have only closed 6 of the 16 fertile grounds. I probably won’t post about Prince of Persia again until I beat the game or something really cool happens. But so far, thumbs up to Ubisoft. I never should have doubted.
The end of the year is coming upon us so its about that time to list my “Top 5″ lists. Gonna start with the games.

I have been a fan of Smash Bros. since the beginning. It offers a unique style…
Picked up the new Prince of Persia yesterday. First I would like to say the quality of the game is OUTSTANDING. The game is beautiful (love cell shading), the sound is great, the lighting effects are nice, and the character motion is very fluid. Even…
